To Whom It May Concern:
I am traveling to Cuba with the intention of engaging in meaningful interactions with the Cuban people, and will be engaged in a full-time schedule designed to encourage such meaningful interactions and otherwise lend support to the Cuban people. I will be staying in a casa particular, only eating in private homes or privately owned paladares, and will not patronize any businesses on the Cuba Restricted List.
I will be participating in activities hosted by the Orisha House Project, a fiscally sponsored non-profit organization with the mission of building bridges between Cuban and American artists and entrepreneurs. My schedule will be roughly as follows:
Saturday/Sunday: arrival in Havana, interactions with family of entrepreneurs with a casa particular network
Monday: Provision of medical supplies and food to Cuban dancers and cultural exchange
Tuesday: Cultural exchange with Cuban artists, support a local dance project
Wednesday: Cultural exchange with Cuban artists, meeting with local doctor to provide medical donations
Thursday: Cultural exchange with Cuban artists, support a local dance project
Friday: Cultural exchange with Cuban artists, support a local dance project
Saturday: Tour local neighborhood, support a local dance project
Sunday: departure
I appreciate the importance of meaningful interactions between American and Cuban people in the spirit of the Support for the Cuban People visa designation.
